Talent Ecosystems

Understanding Talent Ecosystems

Talent ecosystems are the networks of academia, industry, and policy that collectively nurture, attract, and retain skilled researchers. In Europe, these ecosystems are crucial for fostering innovation, enabling career growth, and ensuring that research efforts translate into meaningful societal and economic impact. By connecting education, industry, and governance, Europe’s research landscape becomes more resilient, dynamic, and globally competitive.

Pilot Initiatives Overview

Pilot Initiative 1 — Human Centred Manufacturing

Creates a collaborative setting where researchers and industry partners work together on challenges in advanced manufacturing. Focuses on human and social factors in technology design and adoption, giving researchers hands on experience and strengthening cross sector learning.

Pilot Initiative 2 — Human Factors in Mobility Technologies

Engages researchers, companies and public actors in real mobility and automotive contexts. Examines user needs, safety, behavioural insights and technology acceptance, helping researchers apply their skills in practice while supporting organisations in understanding how talent drives innovation.
